Fort Ebey (1)

We are always in the mood for spectacular ocean views, which is why we immediately fell in love with Fort Ebey State Park when we visited Whidbey Island! Located about two hours from Seattle either by ferry and/or by car, this 651 acre park is one of those places that takes your breath away from the moment you lay eyes on its panoramic location. When we were there, it was a quiet weekday where we spotted more deer than people making it such a peaceful experience exploring the gorgeous trails and interesting military structures from WWII including an artillery battery built into a bluff and a bunker that is underground with its own unique view of the ocean. Also we’re loving that this park is pet-friendly since Prana, our 5 month old puppy (she was 4 months old in these photos), is a huge fan of wide open spaces. Honestly, we think that if she could run around all day at a place like this, she definitely would!
