Feeling A Little Boho At Stonehenge II
Our dreams came true…we finally got a chance to visit Stonehenge! Well, actually it’s Stonehenge II in Texas…which is weird and interesting all at the same time! According to our research, this replica of the original Stonehenge created more than 20 years ago by Al Shepperd and Doug Hill is about 90% as high and 60% as wide as the original. There are also two Easter Island heads situated nearby that are a towering 13 feet tall. These art pieces are really quite a beautiful sight, and we love that it’s located off the beaten path…in the small town of Ingram about 2 hours outside of Austin. Now in order to stay comfortable and happy during this particular road trip, I decided to go with a boho style dress that I found at H&M. I was drawn to the embroidered details, pockets (who doesn’t love pockets?), and gorgeous burgundy color which reminds me of fall…even though the summer heat is still going strong here in Texas. Also I went with the Troopa Boots by Steve Madden which I love not only because their rustic look is so stylish, but also because they’re absolutely perfect for trekking through rural landscapes…especially ones with fire ants which there were plenty of at this location!
Have you or do you have a desire to visit Stonehenge or Stonehenge II? Leave a comment…we would love to hear what you think!
