Hiking The Beaches of La Push, Washington

If you are looking to explore the wild coastline of the Pacific Ocean, we highly recommend taking a trip to La Push, Washington! We visited this place a few weekends ago which involved taking a four hour drive from Seattle to this amazing area located in and around the Olympic National Park. It includes three gorgeous beaches which are literally called First Beach, Second Beach, and Third Beach. Now at the First Beach which is accessible by car we found it to be quite crowded with people especially because it is located in town, so we focused this post and our photography on our experience at the Second and Third Beach. Accessing these two beaches required short, but amazingly remote hikes through a moss covered forest with extra tall trees and an abundance of greenery. And that wasn’t even the best part because once we reached the end of the hikes, we were welcomed by peaceful sandy beaches covered with piles of large driftwood and the most gorgeous views of the ocean including the sea stacks which are geological formations of steep and vertical rocks. No doubt, it was one of the most beautiful sights we have ever seen making us realize we really need to explore the Pacific Ocean coastline more often!
