Dunton Hot Springs (full mid)

One of the many things that we loved about visiting Dunton Hot Springs, a former ghost town turned resort in Colorado, was that it was so peaceful there! From the isolated mountain environment (it’s about two hours from a major town) to the quietness of the activities there (you can lounge around as much as you want)…this place literally forces you to slow down and just relax. We certainly did when we were there! We loved that this place allowed us to enjoy the simple things like sitting by a fire, reading a book, snowshoeing, taking a dip in the indoor and outdoor hot springs, and eating amazing food…which by the way is planned for you because it’s all-inclusive. I mean it can’t get any better than the fact that there is a complete lack of cell phone service which we definitely appreciated! Now there are very few vacation spots that we’ve been to that have done just that…we often go on holiday and come back feeling more exhausted because we try to cram in as many activities as possible. We end up needing a vacation from our vacation! This was definitely not the case when visiting Dunton, so if you want a trip that allows you to get away…I mean truly get away, we highly recommend this place! Also if you want to see more photos from this flashback trip, see part 1.
