Peacefully Off Season (shops 1)

This past weekend we set out on a road trip adventure to Colorado visiting places we have never been to…like Vail, a ski town with the most picturesque environment! So even though there was no snow up on the mountains for those winter activities that make Vail so very popular, we did expect this place to be at least somewhat crowded…but we were wrong! This place was empty…there was hardly anyone around just a few tourists and some employees that work in the stores making the environment feel so peaceful. I have to tell you…it was really enjoyable to be able to take in the beautiful scenery without crowds of people trying to do the same. Now it was fairly cold when we there (for our Texas standards), but I was able to avoid a heavy coat and instead wear my new favorite piece in my closet…this wool blanket vest by BB Dakota. Paired with the B.P waffle knit shirt from Nordstrom…this outfit definitely kept me warm. Also I wore boyfriend jeans from Citizens of Humanity and my other new favorite piece in my closet wedge boots by Sorel. I’m usually a bit apprehensive about wearing wedges during road trips due to the fact that I need to feel comfortable, but these boots are amazing! I was able to walk around with no problems at all which is definitely a plus especially when I also can’t help but fall in love with its rustic yet elegant design which I felt was fitting for the environment. Now all we have to do is grab our skis and revisit Vail when it snows…we’re sure it’s like a winter wonderland!
