Our First Visit To Mount Rainier National Park

One of the things we love about living in Seattle is being able to take day trips to some of the most beautiful national parks in the country which is why one weekend we decided to hop in the car and drive two and a half hours to Mount Rainier National Park! It was our first time there, but we definitely anticipate visiting frequently especially after hiking this amazing trail that led us through a peaceful forest equipped with breathtaking mountain views and close encounters with deer! Now we’re not quite sure what this park is like in the summer, but we loved that there was snow when we visited in February which allowed us to try out our new crampons which are basically spikes you put over your boots to provide traction. We highly recommend them for winter and/or spring hiking…it sounds like it is still snowing up in the mountains!
