Fort Pickens (interior close)

Since we have never been to an historical military fort near the ocean, we were beyond excited to come across Fort Pickens in Florida! Situated amongst the beautiful Gulf Islands National Seashore, we found this place to be so unique with its solid brick arches, endless corridors filled with sand, and of course…that gorgeous ocean view. It was by far one of the most memorable historical attractions we’ve ever been especially with that sunset. So if you are near Pensacola Beach in Florida, we highly recommend visiting this amazing place!
