Finding Home In A Travel Destination (city trees)

One of the things we like to do when traveling to a major city is try to find an awesome hike or walk if that’s all we can find…and lo and behold we found a great hike during our visit to Montreal last winter! Now when looking for a scenic adventure, we often look for the most prominent landmass…one preferably that gives us an aerial view of the city. And in the case of Montreal, we found that in Mount Royal which is about 2.5 miles (4 km) from our hotel. It’s a gorgeous green space (covered in snow at the time) that provided a breathtaking view of the city! The chalet was super cute too that we could tell harbored a beautiful history. In fact, the Mount Royal area was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted who also co-designed New York City’s Central Park…so you know you have something amazing. It’s easy for us to say, that this little piece of natural tranquility definitely made our trip extra special. If you are thinking of visiting Montreal, do it…you won’t regret it!
