Fall season always has us craving frequent trips to the mountains where the air becomes cool and crisp (perfect for Prana since she is not a fan of hot weather)…and the change of colors make the landscape so beautifully vivid! In fact, it is one of our favorite times of the year to go hiking which is why in early September, we made our way to Mount Baker Snoqualmie National Forest (one of the most beautiful national forests in Washington state, in our opinion) to see Picture Lake! Located about a three hour drive from Seattle, this gorgeous lake features a short but extremely memorable half mile trail that showcases what is considered to be one of the most photographed views in America with Mount Shuksan at the center of it all. Honestly, it is one of those places that will have you taking hundreds of photos of the same eye opening view (we certainly did) because it is that gorgeous!
What do you think of this lake? Where do you like to visit during the fall season? Leave a comment…we would love to hear what you think!
