Hiking Amongst Giants At Redwood National and State Parks Part 2
Hey everyone! So after visiting Redwood State Park on our first day of our visit to California in June (you can view the photos here)…we decided it was imperative that on our second day, we visit the National Park side which led us to this amazing trail called the Tall Trees Grove Loop! It is a moderate four mile hike that had us descending down to a gorgeous grove filled with super tall redwoods. It was an overwhelmingly beautiful place that had us feeling like we were walking in an outdoor museum with the groups of trees and plants as works of art! This is definitely a trail we highly recommend especially because it doesn’t take too long to hike to see the best of the best in tall trees. Though just note you do need a permit to get through the gate; the park restricts the number of vehicles driving on the unpaved road and parking at the small lot at the trailhead. We got our permit at the Thomas H. Kuchel Visitor Center, and it definitely meant less people and more peace at this very special place!
What do you think of this trail? Leave a comment…we would love to hear what you think!
