Reflections At Gold Creek Pond Near Snoqualmie Pass

Hey everyone! Today we wanted to share with you Prana’s first visit to the mountains! Lately, we’ve been searching for mountain hikes that would be safe for our poodle puppy since she is still only six months old (she was about five months old in these photos) and still growing. In fact, it is hard to believe she is almost 40 pounds now, but won’t be fully grown until she hits about one and half years old. So with the mindset of picking not too long or steep hikes that won’t exhaust her or damage her growing bones, we made our way to Snoqualmie Pass…a mountain area just an hour outside of Seattle where we found Gold Creek Pond! This tranquil trek involves a one mile roundtrip hike that circles around this amazing pond with endless views of towering mountains and lush forests including an amazing alpine reflection in the beautiful clear waters. Now it was surprisingly not crowded on this trail considering Snoqualmie Pass is a mecca for city dwellers or vacationers visiting Seattle that want to see the Cascade mountains in the summer, but we were not complaining. In utter peacefulness, we got to do what we love the most which is just experience awe inspiring nature with no distractions…and to us (including Prana), it is the best way to spend the weekend!
