A Day At A University

Recently we took a road trip to Houston, Texas…and when we were there we couldn’t help but visit the gorgeous Rice University! Now first I wanted to mention that Houston is quite a big city (4th largest in the country), and based on our experience living there in the past…it is sometimes hard to get away from people and find a peaceful spot to relax. But then there’s this university…it truly is a place that always radiates tranquility with its amazing Byzantine style buildings and abundance of welcoming green spaces. So for this visit, I wore a chiffon blouse with a beautiful painterly print from Target. It is still pretty summery in Texas, so this blouse at least lets me breath while still feeling like I’m transitioning into fall. Also I wore jeans from Paige which I’ve had forever…they are a pair of jeans that I just can’t part with no matter how distressed they get. And I do feel like they worked well with the wedge booties that give me a little extra height which is always welcome for me. Now all I need is bag full of books because even though I’ve been out of university for awhile, I do always feel like I want to go back to school whenever I visit this place!
